CCM #4 - New Month, New Prize

Happy Tuesday everyone! Can you believe that there are only 24 shopping days until Christmas! I know I can't. I am still basking in the warm glow of a wonderful Thanksgiving. I took a lot of pictures and hope to get them onto pages BEFORE next year! Ha! We'll see.

Before we move on to all things Christmas, I wanted to share with you all of the creations that I made using 2 CM Additions (Reminisce and Classic Autumn). I was very pleased with all that I was able to create, and I still have lots of scraps that I can use.

  

For this week's challenge, CCM#4, create one last fall/Thanksgiving project that was inspired by something you see here. Maybe this will help me scrap this years photos this year!

CCM#3 and Winner!

Happy Monday everyone! I am thrilled to be out of school all week this week! I hope to get caught up on all things crafty as well as do a little cleaning around the house. I am definitely going to enjoy time with family and good food!!!

CCM Challenge #1 - WooHoo!

Happy Monday everyone! Welcome to CCM Challenge #1!! I am so excited that you have found your way here!
The reasons behind this challenge are many, but first and foremost it is to connect with the wonderful people out there in blog land who have so much talent to share. The second reason for this blog challenge is to hold myself a little bit more accountable for getting layouts done for my family albums! To say that I am behind is an understatement! I’m sure there are many of you are in the same boat. Third, I want to share inspiration from the company that got me started in all of this crafting….Creative Memories. I cannot tell you the number of people that I see, talk to, read about on blogs, forums, etc. that had their passion for scrapbooking set on fire at a CM related event. It is to this company that I owe gratitude for the albums and stories that I have documented to pass down to my daughter.
So, here we go. The first project that I’ve chosen from the project center is a wonderful Thanksgiving/Fall themed layout using the Reminisce Autumn Addition. This layout was created by Melissa Ullmann.

I just love the colors of these papers! I decided to scraplift this layout to document my families Thanksgiving celebration from a few years ago (see, I told you I was behind!!).

Wednesday Product Showcase

Happy Wednesday everyone!  The weather here is just dreary and to make it worse I feel like my head is in a bucket.  Hopefully, after the 2 shots I received today from the doctor, I will be able to breathe tomorrow!

Today I want to tell you a little about the Creative Memories Power Palettes. The Power Palettes are an easy way to get an entire album complete because they include all the paper and embellishments that you would need to create an album.  And it's all color coordinated!  I love it when things are already color coordinated for me. One of my favorite things about scrapbooking is color so I can get completely carried away with it!!! Using a Power Palette keeps me focused on the project and I am less likely to get sidetracked by all the pretty colors! Also, just because you have a Power Palette doesn't mean that you can only use those papers in your album...you can definitely mix and match if that is your desire. New Challenge and Blog Candy

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I am so excited to announce that I will be hosting a weekly challenge here on Creatively Capturing Memories with Rene'.  I have been so inspired by the Creative Memories Project Center that I want to share that inspiration!  Have you seen the awesomeness that is to be found in the Project Center?  If not, you MUST check it out!

Here are the deets:
1) A new CCM challenge will be posted every Monday morning. 
2) The challenge will be to create a project that is inspired by the project that I will highlight from the Project Center.
3)  You do not have to use Creative Memories products though you will earn a second entry for doing so.
4) Post your project on your blog or in a gallery and link it back here.  Please link to your direct post.
5) All entries are due by midnight (CST) on Saturday.  Winners will be announced on the following Monday with the new challenge.
6) Each month, I will be sponsoring a giveaway that will go to one of that month's winners.  For example, I will have 4 winners from each week of the month....the giveaway will go to one of them by random drawing.
7) Everyone will have a chance to win!!!  Each month I will also choose a randomly drawn winner from all the participants that month! Participants who use CM product will get a second entry into the drawing!

Croptoberfest!

Getting Ready for Croptoberfest!

I am so excited about the fun that is gong to be happening at Croptoberfest!  Because the of number of people attending....a location change is in the works!  How exciting is that!  A party for sure!

A few reminders:
1) each attendee will recieve products to create 4 fall themed album pages using the exclusive Croptoberfest gifts!

2) I recommend that all attendees bring their own adhesive and blank album pages....these can be pre-purchased and available for you at Croptoberfest
3) All pre-purchase orders are due on Monday ( 10-11-10).  This will allow for shipping time to have those items ready for you at Croptoberfest!
